The Agenda was approved with the addition of content from @Jane Millar:

April 18-22, there will be an opportunity to showcase some of the work of the various SNOMED clinical groups. There will also be an opportunity for education about work being undertaken. The meeting, which typically, would have been held in London, will now be virtual. Consideration of a possible combined education session and meeting may occur during the NCP CPG April 19, 2021 meeting time and opened to a broader audience.

The December 2020 minutes were approved.

SNOMED January 31, 2021 release

In the January 31, 2021 SNOMED release, there will be 260 new and revised nutrition concepts. Members have traditionally participated in confirmation of the content; this is a task to look up approximately 20 concepts each in the new release. The link to the assignments is here.

The work of the Nutrition Care Process Clinical Project Group is being highlighted in several new places among SNOMED publications and projects.

• JIRA tracking supports the documentation of decisions made for substances and other terminology clarifications. Substances that still require addressing are included here.

• The SNOMED Editorial Guide contains nutrition content examples for observables, one of the areas where newer modeling is being done.

• The SNOMED Early Visibility Release Notice contains the planned nutrition content for the July 31, 2021 release.

SNOMED July 31, 2021 release

5.1 Plan, progress

Approximately 165 new concepts will be submitted, mapped and modeled in SNOMED CT, along with remodeling of approximately 140 diet (regime/therapy) concepts for the release. The regime/therapy remodeling work, in particular, supports the issues identified as part of the pilot project. DPertel will explore how to include some of the slides indicating the progress on the main Nutrition project page.

Able with difficulty concepts

6.1 Wording options

Based upon feedback from the SNOMED editor, the concepts for Able with difficulty can be worded as follows:

Able to comply with self-monitoring regimen with difficulty (finding) or 

Able to adhere with self-monitoring regimen with difficulty (finding)

It is the preference of the NCP CPG to use the wording with adherence since this is more people-centered.
