January 2022 SNOMED release assignment

All

All 151 concepts submitted to SNOMED CT for the January 31, 2022 release were accepted, authored, and modeled.

Pilot test concept review- Physical activity

89 concepts: 80 reviewed, 9 remaining

The proposed modeling of the pilot concept 68130003 |Physical activity (observable entity)| was accepted. The recommendations will be provided to SNOMED International.

Templates/Concepts Revision

• Intake observable entity concepts, compliance report

• Modified substance diet concepts, compliance report

A change to the A Nutritional Intake (observable entity) template was shared. The attribute 704324001 |Process output (attribute)| is no longer being used. It has been replaced by 1003735000 |Process acts on (attribute)|. A batch change was completed to make this change.

A change to the Modified substance diet (regime/therapy) template was presented. The 363702006 |Has focus (attribute)| attribute was grouped with other attributes; however, editorial guidance states that it should not be grouped. A batch change also corrected these concepts.

Nutrition counseling remodeling discussion (goal setting strategy)

The following recommendations were supported by the attendees:

Collaborate with Nursing CRG for their input on remodeling of 391892008 |Goal directed therapy (regime/therapy)| and 386367000 |Mutual goal setting (regime/therapy)|.

Clarify 386429002 |Self-modification assistance (regime/therapy)| with the Nursing CRG as well as ask E. Wooler to clarify the idea with the Mental Health CRG and the Anesthesia CRG.

Work in the area of goals is occurring at HL7. P. Amos shared that the intent is to ensure possible messaging between computer systems as varying terminologies and classifications may also have goal concepts represented.
