5 | Sarcopenia | D. Pertel | A summary of the Academy's NCPT project on Sarcopenia was reviewed. E. Rothenberg shared the development of the definition a critical part of the work on the concept. The logical model of the concept in SNOMED CT seems appropriate. The CPG members did agree with the NCP Classification Subcommittee's concern about a description present for 772791006 |Sarcopenia (disorder)| of Age-related loss of skeletal muscle mass as this no longer, based on the literature, is semantically equivalent.
