The attendees were welcomed to the call, including a new BDA representative, David Inglis, and a representative of Puerto Rico, Alana Marrero Gonzalez. International representatives are encouraged to apply to participate in the Classification subcommittee (a subcommittee of the Nutrition Care Process Research Outcomes (NCPRO) Committee. This group reviews concepts for inclusion (mapping and modeling) in standardized health terminologies.

The agenda and minutes from April were approved by consensus.

Binge eating behavior

3.1 Synonyms input and modeling review

The group supported the new concepts and models for Number of self reported binge eating episodes per week (observable entity) and Binge eating behavior (finding). The modeling for Binge eating disorder was also supported. 

Based on external eating disorder expert feedback, the synonyms of Binge eating and Binge will be submitted with the Binge eating behavior (finding) concept.

SNOMED January 2022 release

5.1 Draft plan

The draft NCPT January 2022 release plan was shared with the group. Concept submissions will begin once SNOMED CT permits it.
