BGO

  • Items raised during last ECE call

  • Why are hypersensitivity conditions/dispositions clinical findings rather than disorders?

    • Disorders have a clinical/pathologic manifestation and are defined by pathological processes or structures whereas dispositions are potential disorders that do not have manifestations until realized as a pathological process

  • Extending the range of has realization to include pathological process

    • To be used only for dispositions

    • Impact on drug model which also has a disposition relationship needs to be examined

    • Stefan Shultz has supported this approach

  • BGO will write up editorial guidelines for new hypersensitivity/allergy model

  • Create new concepts for childbirth (finding) and labor (finding)

  • Does a manifestation of a disorder represent a single condition or a combined life phase of the manifestation with the underlying disorder?

  • Is there a causal relationship between the manifestation and the underlying disorder?

  • Model as pattern 1 (simple co-occurrence), manifestation co-occurrent with underlying disorder for now

  • May add a due to relationship as well in future pending further testing

5

Cerebrovascular accident due to arterial thrombosis/embolus

BGO

  • Question as how to model occlusive nature of thrombus as cause of CVA
