Requesting and writing defintions

On several occasions a solution of a translation issue is to clarify the meaning of a concept by providing a verbal definition. Sometimes a definition is lacking. Sometimes the current definitions don´t clarify the difference between two concepts, such as 'intoxication' and 'poisoning'. Should there be guidelines of making good definitions (in the Editorial Guide?) based on ISO 704? We could revisit Jira #112 to discuss this issue.
