Simplification of RF2 Map Reference Set Types

Description

On our February 2022 call, some Modeling Advisory Group members expressed interest in cutting down on the proliferation of Map Reference Set Types.

The documentation for this area was recently improved to split the various Map Types into separate "chapters", see 5.2 Reference Set Types 

This discussion has a number of aspects:

Aspects to Consider

• Consolidating / pruning the existing set of Map Reference Set Types

• In terms of the SOMED CT hierarchy of Reference Set Types, potentially introducing abstract groupers which do not have corresponding rows in the Refset Descriptor file.  This already has a precedent with the MRCM type refsets

Open

• Introducing a more flexible structure (eg as part of the annotation work) which would allow for more information to be expressed in the future without the need to continually introduce new reference set types.
