Notes:

• Content tracker projects are normally managed via the content development documentation. This tracker issue has an inception phase document (attached) and was subsequently progressed by the EAG with the decision that these concepts will be inactivated.

• The structure used here is a draft to support development of a checklist of what is required when capturing information on the construction of a solution. It will also feed into the development of the checklist for tracker issues where the work has been outside the normal content development process.

Scope of construction work:

• Concepts where the FSN includes the word 'Unilateral'.

  • The concept will be inactivated with the inactivation value of |Ambiguous|. 

  • Historical associations will be made to the lateralised concepts that represent the meaning explicitly.

    • Where the lateralised concepts do not exist they will be created. 

• Concepts where the FSN represents a valid meaning e.g. Lobectomy of X (procedure) but one or more of the synonyms includes the term 'unilateral', 

  • The description will be inactivated with the inactivation value |Not semantically equivalent|.  

• Work will be done in small batches per hierarchy. 

• Out of scope: 'Hemi' and 'mono' concepts except as noted below.

• Concepts using the term 

  • 'remaining'  e.g. Oophorectomy of remaining solitary ovary (procedure) 

  • 'one' e.g. Blindness in one eye (disorder), Sweating on one side of body (finding), 

  • 'other' e.g. Impairment level: one eye: severe impairment: other eye: near-normal vision (disorder)
