Tumor Deposit

@Scott Campbell

Review model for colon and appendix

Discuss with # of Tumor Deposits

Concept modeled well for presence of tumor buds.  This is metastatic spread of a primary tumor.  Note that it is different than satellite tumors found in skin.  Those must conform to a maximum distance from the melanoma (< 2cm)

We did not discuss #tumor deposits

Intactness of mesorectum

@Scott Campbell

Review model

This model does not work.  The observable is about the quality of the surgery and the excision of the mesorectum.  (Meso- meaning the vascularized areas and surface surrounding the organ...thus, the mesorectum is still a subtype of the mesentery per the pathologists.)
