  • Non-allergic hypersensitivity (pseudoallergy) is often conflated with allergy

  • Non-allergic hypersensitivity included in SNOMED as is scientifically correct and was consistent with Hypersensitivity terminology created by AAAAI/WAO on which the SNOMED content is based

  • Concepts in SNOMED of the type Non-allergic hypersensitivity to X (finding) exist in SNOMED

  • Most clinicians will not make a distinction between allergy and non-allergic hypersensitivity but may be important in terms of cross reactivity
