Improvements to the .JSON Release Package config file

Hi everyone

We're already starting to get useful feedback on the new Release Package config file, which will be making its first appearance in the July 2020 International Edition.

Please review the following suggestions for additional fields:


  • "documentationURL": link to wherever release documentation is posted

  • "licenseURL": alternative to existing licenseStatement element to be used when the required license extends beyond core SNOMED content to include the licenses for any number of allied products of which some significant part is embedded within the release, typically as crossmaps.

  • "helpdesk": email contact for further information and support

  • "updatesURL": URL of at least one canonical place where this release and its future updates might be obtained, for the benefit of anybody who has no idea where the one in their hand actually came from


Also please submit any recommendations that you have for new fields, or refinements to the existing fields.
