Abstract

This tutorial provides a demonstration of SNOMED CT authoring. Participants will be shown a series of authoring tasks performed by an experienced SNOMED CT author using a training version of SNOMED International’s Managed Service authoring platform.

Objectives

After completing this tutorial, participants should have an understanding of how SNOMED International’s Managed Service authoring platform is used to:

• Search for SNOMED CT concepts

• Find the stated, inferred and authoring form of a concept

• Create a new concept

• Perform simple concept changes

• Classify SNOMED CT
