QA - Pattern analysis

• QA work will occur over several releases as part of the 3 year strategy.

  • QA work will start second half of 2018

  • Functionality in authoring tool being improved to support batch templates.

• TermMed has undertaken analysis on patterns 4 and 5 (https://dailybuild.ihtsdotools.org/qa/ -see patterns tab). Approx. 5700 anomalies. Iterative updates to be done December 2017 - May 2018. CMAG will receive updates.

  • MAG work on Role grouping - Quality and Policy raised by DKA as it ties into this work. Need for additional guidance on grouping required.

    • 2017-10-16 & 17 Face to Face Meeting, Bratislava See Part 2, Item 2.

  • Additional functionality and patterns requested for the TermMed tool

EAG decisions - User impact

• Standing item

  • Process yet to be clarified with EAG chair.

  • PAM raised SNOMED International response to "Discussion paper - Allowance of Extensions to Modify Core Content" ver. 2.0 document which Jim Case (JCA) is planning to finalise. Any final input please provide by 22/12/17.

    • DKA has added comments on the permissiveness of the disclaimer and this was raised in meeting. PAM aware.

Use of (Regime/therapy) concepts

• Information is being sought on the use of concepts that are subtypes of 243120004|Regimes and therapies (regime/therapy)|

  • Use of Regime_therapy concepts

  • OBO raised value of looking at concept used in value sets for clinical quality measures. OBO to speak to JCA

  • EWO and DKA able to provide information on inclusion in subsets if of value. CRI to clarify with JCA.

  • EWO also able to provide some data.

  • Given holiday season due date for responses extended - 6 weeks.

  • Topic discussed and request for input made.

  • Given holiday season due date for responses extended - 6 weeks.

Substance use/misuse/abuse

• Input requested on the use of terms in relation to use of a substance

  • 2018 Substance use_misuse_abuse

  • UK:

    • Seeking input on whether other countries have issues and priority for progression

    • Applying an interim solution using the terms “harmful pattern of use of <substance>”  and  "<substance>  dependence"

    • CWI raised previous submission made via CRS system on same issue.

    • Given holiday season due date for responses extended - 6 weeks.

• Potential for a process that enables broader input on these topics raise by OBO. E.g. Public forum for comments.

• Nutrition/ Dietetics work

  • Noted post CMAG meeting Confluence site has been set up: Nutrition Care Process Terminology Clinical Project Group

  • Some content planned for July 2018 release.

• Policy development required to support clarity on prioritisation of specialty group content inclusions in relation to CRS and Member priorities.
