How do I run validation on my task?

To run a validation on a task, select the Validate button in the Task Detail tab or select the Start New validation button from the left nav. You will receive the notification in the header to indicate that validation is running. Tip: While validation is running you may work on another task and you will receive a notification that your validation is complete. |
How do I View my validation Report?
You can view the validation report two ways:

1. From the dashboard you can view the validation report, by selecting the validation Report icon | |
2. From the editing view you can view the validation report, by selecting the validation button in the left nav and select View validation. |
How do I view Assertion Errors on a task / project within the Validation Report?

Once the report is opened at the task level the default view will only show assertion errors at the task level. To view all failed assertions in a project select the Show Full Report button.

To view the concepts that failed an assertion select Load Cases to view the concept list | |
To view the details of a concept from validation report, select the View/Edit button on the validation Report to display the concept in the Edit panel. Note: the checkboxes on the left can be used to add multiple concepts to the view by selecting a number of concepts and the View/Edit button in the table header.

The report loads the concept(s) into the ui. To return to the main report view select Back to Report. |
What is Validation?
Within SCA, running validation allows a user to run a set of quality assurance rules against their work.
Best practice - validate before review and promotion
What do the colors of the Validation status mean?
Blue - Validation is currently scheduled
Green - Validation report is complete.
What is the white list?
The whitelist are known exceptions to the Quality Assertion rules. To view these in a project select Show Whitelist from the top of the report header to view these concepts.
