    Because the existing relationship is of the same type and group and is in the same hierarchy but more specific than the one specified the classification wrapper function which produces the distribution normal form should discard that new inferred relationship in favour of the existing more specific version. This is therefore expected behaviour of the normalisation process, and so the relationship not being created is the correct result.

    We ran the classification on the XANDYREV project branch in the TCC UAT termServer just to be sure and there were no new inferred relationships for that concept, because the stated relationship did not effect the inferred relationships as it’s redundant. Therefore all checks passed.
