Summary

The Service provides provides hosting, management and technical support of a Request Management Portal.

Description

This service facilitates the submission and management of requests for changes to local extension content by Managed Service Member extension users. This functionality comprises a user interface for the initiation of such requests by authorized users, alongside administrative tools enabling the Member NRC to systematically track, manage and process these submissions.

Multi Language UI support

The UI Translation is the responsibility of the NRC; SNOMED International does not validate UI translations.

Ability to submit, track, manage and process requests to add new:

  • Concepts

  • Descriptions

  • Relationships

  • Refsets

Requests are for local extension content only. Changes to International content is managed via the Content Request Service.

 

Creation of new components should only be made if the request aligns with existing Editorial Guidance and has a clear justification.

Ability to submit, track, manage and process requests to change/modify existing:

  • Concepts

  • Descriptions

  • Relationships

  • Refsets

Requests are for local extension content only. Changes to International content is managed via the Content Request Service.

 

Modification of existing components should only be made if the request aligns with existing Editorial Guidance and has a clear justification.

Ability to submit, track, manage and process requests to inactivate existing:

  • Concepts

  • Descriptions

  • Relationships

  • Refsets

Requests are for local extension content only. Changes to International content is managed via the Content Request Service.

 

Inactivation of existing components should only be made if the request aligns with existing Editorial Guidance and has a clear justification.

Ability for requestors to respond to questions/queries, and requests for additional information from the Member NRC by responding directly to a request update.

Email responses are only received via the original submission request.

Functionality enabling the Member NRC to authorise and manage users permitted to submit requests through the portal

This process is managed by the new user completing a form to request permission which is subsequently approved by the Member NRC.

Ability to allocate submitted requests to a named NRC Author

Direct integration with Authoring Platform tasks

Functionality to directly create tasks in the Authoring platform to manage the request is not currently supported and must be managed manually by the NRC

Integration with the release process

Status updates when the request has been added to and subsequently released in the local extension is not currently supported and must be manually updated by the NRC
