3 | Modeling of Body Mass Index (BMI) findings: Also: mtg among subject matter experts lead by Rebecca Niitzel took place in May 2026. And Rebecca presented to HL7 CIMI* group in July 2026. All input has been favorable for separating BMI from interpretation like obesity. *CIMI: Clinical Information Modeling Initiative. CIMI is an HL7 workgroup dedicated to standardizing the way clinical information is represented in digital health systems. Elaine Wooller resented to the group the current review and revision of the BMI findings subhierarchy @Elaine Wooler To present in August mtg the hierarchy that is going to be published in the September SNOMED release | E. | Initial input is in the direction to have BMI as a stand-alone without interpretation words like overweight and obesity. For example in Asian populations the cut offs are different.
