Documentation on changes were made to support ICD10 2016.

Categories and types of changes listed below.

Changes to allowable 3-digit codes

• 3 digit codes that now require a 4th digit: I48, R95

• Prior exceptions to 4th digit (Principle 03) that now requre a 4th digit: W26

Automation Changes

• K52.1

  • Modify Automation: 

    • Add advice POSSIBLE REQUIREMENT FOR EXTERNAL CAUSE CODE if there isn't a secondary map with such a code.

    • Remove the advice if there is. (simliary to P21)

  • Validation Automation

    • ERROR for not having an external cause code and not having POSSIBLE REQUIREMENT FOR EXTERNAL CAUSE CODE advice.
