Engaging with global clinical communities

IGR

IGR provided details on the plan to change the way SIGs and project groups work. Please see slides.

Lengthy discussion about the proposed changes. Various points of view were brought forward.

SIG Chair

Nursing: ZWM deferred.

Dentistry: MJU Difficulty in modelling some concepts and cleanup required on existing content. Working with major US vendor to put together a set of SNOMED terms for implentation.

Anesthesia: ANO welcomed AMA as new VC. Adverse events work upcoming for this group. Regular calls are beginning again end of Jan.

IPaLM: SCA Cancer protocols are major focus, Creating SNOMED CT expressions \ which have been implemented at the Univ. of Nebraska. Working with NLM and Regenstrief; CAP interested in the work. Working with vendor to implement SNOMED CT encoded data.
