Following on from the discussion and feedback we had in the ELAG April 2024 meeting, please see the proposed withdrawal document of the Terminology Services Course and the Terminology Services Certification Exam by SNOMED International.

Key points to note:

A recent review revealed that the Terminology Services Course is outdated.
All essential information regarding terminology services is adequately covered in the Foundation Course and the Terminology Services Module of the new Implementation Course.

We will be providing the following message on the Terminology Services Course front page:

Please be aware that the content of the Terminology Services Course and its associated certification exam is now outdated and will be withdrawn in the near future.

For access to the most current information on terminology services, we recommend enrolling in the Implementation Course and completing the Terminology Services Module.

While the Terminology Services Course covered introductory content on SNOMED CT, this material is also available in the Foundation Course.

Please note that completion of the free Foundation Course is a prerequisite for enrolling in the Implementation Course.
