3	SNOMED Update	@Charles Gutteridge	Charles and Ian will not be able to attend, we are grateful for an update from @Monica Harry A good turnout from the APAC zone is hoped for at the next SNOMED meeting. Discussion are ongoing with 1) EMEA and EU Medicines agency, and 2) MPU Medicines Agency. Updates and sharing of content are expected to be a feature of this cooperation. There are ongoing discussions with Kaiser Permanente and the WHO (liaison with ICD). Vast amounts of work would be required to map ICD to SNOMED, as noted by @Steven Dain . New Refsets are being developed, and maintained for release in the next update to SNOMED. They are useful in Nursing, Dentistry and other areas. Some existing refsets were noted. Devices: we have a map table to GMDN, but it's expensive. We need to ask what we really need in SNOMED for clinical care...
