The current scope of the Service contains the provision of the following: 

• Managed Service Authoring Platfrom Service for the creation and maintenance of local extension concepts, relationships and multi-lingual descriptions (translations).

• Release and Validation Service that allows the creation, validation and packaging of a national extension or edition up to twelve timea a year using the same QA processes used to create the International Release.

• Reference Set Management Service for the creation and maintenance of version controlled local reference sets that can be exported in an RF2 format for inclusion in a local extension release.

• Translation Management Service for the bulk translation of SNOMED CT concepts in previously created reference sets which can be imported into the Authoring Tool and distributed in the local extension release.

• Request Management Service for the simple management of requests for content changes to a local extension.

• Managed Service Support Service for requesting expert help or assistance with technical or SNOMED CT authoring queries relating to the local extension or the Managed Service.

• Members Licensing and Distribution Service to publish and distribute the national extension or edition.

Regular monthly Service Reviews to ensure the smooth running and operation of the service are included.

Membership of the Managed Service User Group to help shape the service, its requirements and its functionality.

Additional Services are also available at an additional cost quoted on a case by case basis.
